The freefall continues in February for the Greek car market at 3,827 registrations, down 45% on February 2011 which was already down 48% on February 2010. The 2012 year-to-date total stands at 12,278 units, down 27% on 2011… Like last year in February and for the 2nd time in 3 months the Toyota Yaris leads the Greek models ranking with 262 sales and 6.8%, passing 2011’s leader the Opel Corsa, down to #2 at 221 units and 5.8%. The VW Polo doesn’t move and rounds up the podium again with 172 sales and 4.5%.

In fact the next two models also stay at their January position: the Opel Astra at #4 with 4.3% followed by the Ford Fiesta at #5 and 3.3%. Good month for the Fiat Panda up to #6, the Suzuki Swift up 7 spots to #7 and the Peugeot 107 up 6 ranks to #9. The Kia Picanto for its part has not a good but an outstanding month, up 23 spots on January to #10. Other great performers this month include the Volvo S40 up 18 ranks to #20 and the VW Up! landing directly at #21.
