Saudi Arabia is the biggest market in the Gulf Penisula region (GCC) with 44,320 registrations in November. Like in all other countries in the area, a Toyota leads the models ranking but this time it is struggling to do so. The Toyota Corolla is #1 in the country this month with 3,236 sales and 7.3% share but is threatened by the new generation Hyundai Accent at 3,182 units and 7.2%. The Toyota Hilux rounds up the podium with 2,628 sales and 5.9%.
Hyundai strikes again at #4 with the new Elantra at 2,189 units and 4.9% share, followed by the Toyota Camry (4.2%), Isuzu D-Max and Toyota Yaris sedan (both at 3.3%). The 13 year-old Ford Crown Victoria ranks 9th at 3.1% share and the Hyundai Sonata is #10. There are 2 more US models in the Saudi Top 20: the Chevrolet Tahoe at #14 and the GMC Yukon at #16.
Further down the ranking, the Hyundai Azera is #21, the Toyota Sequoia #25, the FJ Cruiser #26, the Ford Expedition #29, the Ford Taurus #36, the Renault Fluence #42 and Logan #44, the Chevrolet Sonic already #71 and the Ford Edge #90.
