New Zealand September 2011: Toyota Corolla in pole position

The New Zealand car market is down 4% year-on-year in September at 7,628 registrations, bringing the 2011 year-to-date total to 63,810 units, up 7%. Like in Australia, the Toyota Corolla is back on top of the ranking with 367 sales and 4.8%. It is followed by August’s #1, the Toyota Hilux, at 300 units and 3.9% and the Mazda3 with 227 sales and 3%. Toyota has an excellent month indeed, placing the Hiace in the New Zealand Top 5 for the first time in 4th place, while the Suzuki Swift is down 2 spots to #5.
