Taiwan August 2011: Nissan Livina up to #2 for the first time

Taiwanese car sales are weak in August at 23,140 units. The Toyota Corolla stays distant leader with 2,628 sales and 11.4% share, reinforcing its 2011 year-to-date top spot at 23,053 units and 9.2%. For the first time in the nameplate’s history, the Nissan Livina climbs to the 2nd spot in Taiwan with 1,021 sales and 4.4%. It stays 3rd year-to-date at 10,370 units and 4.1%.
The Nissan Tiida drops to #3 with 1,017 sales but is still #2 in 2011 at 12,428 units and 4.9%. The Toyota Wish is stable at #4 (4.2%) followed by the Toyota Yaris (4.1%) and Camry (3%). Excellent month for the Mazda3 up 5 spots to #7, the Honda Fit up to #12, the VW Golf up to #16 and the Mercedes E Class up to #18. Notice the Lexus CT at #30.
