Panama July 2011: Hyundai Accent takes the lead, Elantra strong
I only get to share the Panama models ranking a few times a year and this is one of them! Traditionally dominated by the Toyota Hilux, car sales in Panama have shifted towards the new generation Hyundai Accent, delivering 1,083 units over the last four months (L4M), compared to 981 for the Hilux which stays #1 year-to-date with 1,674 sales vs. 1,641 for the Accent.
The Hyundai Tucson IX (aka ix35) stays solid in 3rd place at 862 units in L4M, followed by the new generation Hyundai Elantra (538 sales), the Kia Rio (483) and the Toyota RAV4 (481). The Kia Picanto takes the 7th position at 385 sales.
