Netherlands July 2011: VW Polo back in pole position

Dutch car sales are up 10% in July at 42,281 registrations, with the 2011 year-to-date total now up 20% to 370,642 units. For the first time since April, the VW Polo is back where it belongs: atop the models ranking. It delivers 1,990 units this month for a 4.7% market share, reinforcing its 2011 leadership at 16,131 sales and 4.4%.
#1 for the last 2 months, the Peugeot 107 drops to #2 in July at 1,468 units (3.5%) and accesses the 2nd spot in the 2011 ranking with 14,085 sales and 3.8%, passing the Renault Twingo, now #3 over the first 7 months of 2011 at 14,001 units.
Excellent progression of the Ford Focus, up 7 spots to a shiny 4th place at 2.9%, ahead of the Toyota Aygo (+10), VW Golf (+8) and Seat Ibiza (+6). Notice the Kia Sportage breaking into the Top 20 at #19 (+13) and the new gen Chevrolet Aveo landing in 26th position at 474 sales (1.1%).
