Denmark May 2011: Hyundai i30 stays best-seller

At 16,517 units, Danish car sales are up an impressive 28% in May, and the year-to-date figure is up 22% at 70,703 registrations. The Hyundai i30 is the best-selling model in the country for the 2nd month in a row with 537 sales and 3.3% share, now up to #9 year-to-date at 2.1%.

The Toyota Aygo stays #2 at 3.1%, virtually identical to its year-to-date situation, the Chevrolet Spark is back up to #3 and 3% share and still leads the year-to-date ranking with 3,067 units and 4.3%. Excellent 4th place for the Peugeot 107 while the Citroen C1 is up to #8, making the ‘Kolin sisters’ (Aygo, C1 and 107) reach an astounding 8.2% market share this month in Denmark.

Ford C-Max

Notice the Ford C-Max up 39 spots to #16 at 279 units and 1.7% and the Peugeot 508 breaking into the Top 30 for the first time in Denmark at #28 with 228 sales and 1.4%.
