Netherlands April 2011: VW Polo leads, Peugeot 508 in Top 10

The Dutch car market is definitely in good shape this year: it is up 28% in April at 47,910 registrations and 25% year-to-date at 228,398 units. The VW Polo confirms its hold on Netherlands sales and ranks #1 for the third time this year with with 1,942 sales and 4.4% share.

The podium reflects the year-to-date ranking this month with the Renault Twingo #2 at 1,840 units, ahead of the Peugeot 107 at 1,832 sales, both at 3.8% share. The Ford Fiesta and Skoda Fabia follow and hold strong at 2.8% and 2.6% respectively. The Seat Ibiza is #6 and #4 in 2011.

This month’s best performance is delivered by the new Peugeot 508, up 25 spots on last month and ranking #10 with 1,033 sales and 2.2%. This is better than in its native France! In fact, the Netherlands is the first country in the world where the 508 breaks into the Top 10…
