Sweden April 2011: Volvo strong, VW Passat #2

At 28,940 registrations and up 13% year-on-year, the Swedish car market delivers its best month of April in 22 years! The Volvo V70 stays on top but sees its share slip down to 6.7%, and the VW Passat is up to #2 for the first time this year with 1,537 sales and a very strong 5.3% share. The VW Golf rounds up the podium at 4.6%.

The new Volvo V60 is back up to 4th place at 3.3%, only 10 units above the V50. In fact, Volvo places 4 models within the Top 6 in the year-to-date ranking, with the Volvo XC60 ranking 6th. Exceptional month for the Fiat Ducato at #8 with 603 sales. The BMW 5 Series shines back into the Top 10 at 2.1% share.
