Netherlands January 2011: Polo leads, Twingo & Ibiza shine
The Dutch car market is up 20% in January with 75,174 registrations, the first month of the year being traditionally strong. Confirming its pole position acquired last year, the VW Polo delivers an extremely solid figure at 4,816 sales and 6.4% market share.
The Renault Twingo obtains a brilliant 2nd place with 2,535 units sold and 3.4%, ahead of the Peugeot 107 (3.2%), VW Golf (3.1%) and a very strong Seat Ibiza in 5th with 2,329 sales and 3.1% of the Dutch market.
Other good performances include the Fiat Punto in 10th, the BMW 5 Series at #21, the Kia Sportage at #23, the Audi A1 at #27 and the Mitsubishi ASX in 50th place. Full Top 50 Ranking Table: click on ‘Read more’ below.
