Belgium Full Year 2010: VW Golf takes off, Megane shines

Car sales are up a very healthy 15% in the country this year at 547,347 registrations. After a shy start in 2009, the last generation of VW Golf takes off with sales up 52% to 18,538 units or 3.4% share. The Ford Fiesta loses its best-seller title and drops to #2 with 16,130 sales (2.9%), up 17% while the VW Polo rounds up the podium with 15,607 sales, up 49%. The biggest progression in the Top 10 is delivered by the Renault Megane, boosted by its new generation, up 59% to 14,537 units in 4th place. Notice also the Renault Clio up 29% to #5 and the Renault Scenic up 34% to #9.
