Tunisia 9 months 2010: Symbol clear leader
Controlled by annual import quotas, the Tunisian market is nevertheless growing a whopping 76% over 2009 with around 35,300 registrations in the first 9 months of 2010. Like in neighbouring Algeria, the Renault Symbol is the best-selling car here, with 6,867 units sold and a massive 19.5% market share.
The new VW Polo arrives in 2nd at 2,635 sales (7.5%). Other successful models include the Fiat Grande Punto, the Kia Rio and Picanto, the VW Golf (2.8%) and Jetta (2.1%), Renault Clio Campus (2.2%), Fiat Palio (1.8%) and Peugeot 206 sedan. The Mitsubishi L200 should lead the commercial vehicles ranking.
