Luxembourg 2006-2007: Renault Clio new best-seller

In 2006, the arrival of the third generation boosts sales of the Renault Clio by 131% and shoot it up to the top of the Luxembourg models ranking this year with 2,383 sales, up 8 ranks on 2005. The VW Golf, never far off the #1 spot, is down to #2 despite seeing its sales grow by 8% to 2,304 units. The BMW 3 Series, up 2 spots on 2005, rounds up the podium with 1,558 sales, up 27%.
Volkswagen counter balances the Golf deception by delivering excellent sales for its other two star models: the Polo is up 4 ranks and 20% to #4 and 1,321 units while the Passat breaks into the Top 10, up 87% to #5 and 1,266 sales. The Renault Scenic (-23%), Audi A3 (+6%) and A4 (-12%) follow.
In 2007 the podium stays unchanged with the Clio (-19%), Golf (-17%) and 3 Series (+12%) still on top, ahead of the Peugeot 207 up 164% for its first full year of sales, the Renault Scenic (-2%) and VW Polo (-9%).
