Denmark 2006: Toyota Avensis and VW Passat on top
At 156,160 registrations, the Danish car market is up 7% in 2006. The Toyota Avensis gains one spot to claim the best selling car title this year with 5,747 sales and 3.7%. It is followed by the VW Passat boosted by the new generation at 5,355 units sold and 3.4% share.
Two Skodas follow: the Fabia in 3rd at 4,786 sales and the Octavia in 4th at 4,423 units. The Suzuki Swift is a hit in Denmark: it gains 13 spots this year to land 5th at 4,379 sales. Peugeot still has 3 models in the Top 10 but they are ranked lower this year: the 307 is #6 (-27%), the 206 #7 (-16%) and the 407 #8 (+28%). The Peugeot 207 is at a promising #17.
