Elroq production shouldn be more than 600 units per day. They are adding shifts. Demand ist high. Export outside Europe is minimal. Skoda’s popularity decreases with distance from the factory. In Portugal or Greece it’s no-name brand. In the Balkans people buy it out of nostalgia because their grandad had one and it drove.
The R5 is a phenomenal success. I have seen it here on the road. Usually I have to go to the dealership to look at these cars. I havent seen R4 yet bud I plan to go to Germany on the end od this year and maybe I will be lucky there.
Tesla has lost a lot of sales. They can lower the price. The TMY Standard version isn’t the right solution for Europe.
The STLA problems seem to be solved. Fiat 500 hybrid will be big comeback. And it will be successful. Good to find the right price for Italy, but customers in Germany aren’t so so price-sensitive. There will be many new 500s soon.
Teslas are priced excellently for what they offer; they’re better and cheaper than any European car. To give you an idea, the R5 with the same equipment as a basic Model 3 costs the same. That’s two segments of difference. The value for money of a Tesla is incredible. Don’t forget that the Model Y and Model 3 are in the top 3 best-selling EVs in Europe. If it weren’t for political reasons linked to Trump and Musk, Tesla could sell twice as much, as in China for example.
“the Renault 5 … cracks the Top 50 …. landing directly at #25, with 47% of its volume coming from France”
Last month, like in France, the E-R5 turned out the bestselling BEV in the UK with 1.300 units. Great to see the success of both the R5 and Elroq, not the least because airquality in urban area’s improved a brutal 0,065% 😉
Interesting, this statics say until end of October 70,780 Skora Elroq soled in Europe.
Skoda recently announced they already produced 100000 Unit of the Elroq.
Where are remaining ones?
Outside of Europe or EU+EFTA+UK countires?
Could be Skoda built 100.000 and sold 70.000 units. Carmakers have months of inventory.
