Israel July 2022: Citroen (+131%), Skoda (+34.3%) can’t save market off -16.5%

Citroen sales are up 131% in a market down -16.5%.

Thanks to our local partner cartube.co.il, we can share with you today Israeli brands data for July – models data is a quarterly occurrence. The market is down another -16.5% year-on-year this month to 21,863 sales, which means the year-to-date tally is now down -13.9% to 180,708. Hyundai (-16.1%) retains the lead but sees its share drop to 15.2% vs. 19.2% so far this year. Kia (-2.7%) overtakes Toyota (-36.6%) in great difficulty at 11.7% share vs. 14.6% YTD where it holds the 2nd spot. Skoda (+34.3%), Citroen (+131%) and Mazda (+1.4%) are the only year-on-year gainers in the Top 10 while Suzuki (-61.4%) and Seat (-41.8%) dive and Mitsubishi (-6.1%) holds ok. Geely is up four spots on June to brilliantly return inside the Top 10 for the second time in the past 3 months. Below, Subaru (+54.7%), Mercedes (+54.4%) and MG (+37.9%) stand out. Tesla sells zero vehicle in Israel this month.
