Bahrain June 2022: Haval #5, Toyota Land Cruiser reclaims lead in market up 31.5%

The Toyota Land Cruiser is the best-selling vehicle in Bahrain in June.

1,729 new vehicles found a home in Bahrain in 2022, that’s a splendid 31.5% year-on-year lift. Toyota (+20.2%) can’t quite catch up with the market growth but easily maintains its lead with a mammoth 34.5% market share. In second place we have a soaring Nissan (+45.3%), distancing Isuzu (-1.6%) and Hyundai (-2.4%) both in difficulty. Haval (+40.9%) climbs to #5, selling the same amount as fellow Chinese fare MG (+181.8%). Chevrolet (+1866.7%) posts a surreal gain to ascend to 7th place while Mitsubishi (+247.1%) is also euphoric. Mazda (+40%) also impresses in the remainder of the Top 10.

Over in the models aisle, the Toyota Land Cruiser SW (+146.9%) reclaims the top spot off the Nissan Sunny (-35.7%) while the Isuzu TF aka D-Max (-31.8%) freefalls in third place. The rest of the Top 7 is entirely composed of Toyotas, with the Hiace (+45.8%), Corolla (-36.2%) hit hard, the Camry (+195%) in outstanding shape and the RAV4 (-6.7%) edging down. The Haval Jolion (+117.4%) breaks into the Top 10 at #8 as does the Chevrolet Groove at #10. The Toyota Hilux falls -17% to #9. Notice also the Toyota Corolla Cross up 1350% year-on-year to #13.
