Colombia November 2021: Suzuki up 71.1%, Renault Duster best-seller in market up 5.7%

The Renault Duster is the best-selling vehicle in Colombia in November.

New vehicle sales in Colombia edge up 5.7% year-on-year in November to 23,619 units, the largest monthly total of the year so far. It brings the year-to-date tally up 39.2% to 225,194. Brand leader Renault (-30.6%) takes a harsh hit but remains on top with 15.1% share vs. 19.5% so far this year. Chevrolet (-3.4%) reclaims the #2 spot it hold year-to-date but remains in negative as it continues to be affected by the microchip crisis. Suzuki (+71.1%) posts the largest gain in the Top 15 and advances three spots on October to #3, while Mazda (+13.1%) and Kia (+35.2%) also beat the market to round out the Top 5. Hyundai (+66.2%), Ford (+38.7%), Toyota (+33.8%) and Volkswagen (+10.1%) also improve their share year-on-year. Outside the Top 10, DFSK (+146.2%), Peugeot (+81.5%), International (+66.7%), Hino (+62.2%), Changan (+35.5%) and Jeep (+21.7%) stand out.

Model-wise, the Renault Duster takes control of the charts this month with 4.7% share, toppling the Mazda CX-30 while the Mazda2 is up 25 spots on October to make it two Mazdas on the podium. The Kia Picanto is up one rank to #4, exchanging spots with the Renault Stepway, while the Suzuki Swift is up 8 spots to #6 ahead of the Suzuki Vitara. The Chevrolet Onix is back to life at #8, followed by the Tracker and Joy. The Renault Kwid rallies back up 15 ranks to #11 but loses the #2 spot year-to-date to the Duster. Notice also the Ford Escape up 8 spots to #16, the Hyundai HB20S Accent up 16 to #25, the VW Taos up 17 to #27 and the Kia Stonic up 40 to #28.
