Israel August 2021: Kia takes control, Tesla up to #5 in market soaring 32.1%

Kia sales in Israel are up 78.6% in August.

Thanks to our partner cartube.co.il, we can share with you today August brands data for Israel – models data is a quarterly occurrence. The Israeli new car market continues to gallop ahead in August at +32.1% year-on-year to 26.547 registrations, leading to a year-to-date tally up 45.9% to 236.525. Three of the Top Four brands advance even faster than the market. Kia (+78.6%) is up two spots on July to take the lead of the brands ranking with 16.3% share vs. 12.3% year-to-date, distancing sister brand Hyundai (+14.6%) at 14% share vs. 15.6% YTD while last month’s best-seller Toyota (+94.1%) is down two ranks on last month to #3 but surges year-on-year. Mazda (+80%) continues to evolve frankly higher than a year ago and stays in 4th place. After selling nothing in July, Tesla deliveries resume in August, good enough for a 5th place overall with 5.9% of the market. Nissan (+59.8%) is the only additional gainer in the Top 10 just as Skoda (-43.9%) and Mitsubishi (-22.9%) skid down.
