Israel February 2021: Hyundai (+15.9%) and Kia (+23.3%) top market up 2.5%, Aiways lands

Thanks to our Israeli partner cartube.co.il, we can share with you today February brands data for this market, models data is available quarterly. After a 15.6% surge in January, new car sales in Israel slow down their growth but remain in positive in February at +2.5% to 25.495 units. This leads to a year-to-date tally up 10.8% to 73.747. Both Hyundai (+15.9%) and Kia (+23.3%) vastly outpace the market to top the brands ranking with 17.6% and 14.5% share respectively, well above the 16% and 11.8% they command year-to-date. Toyota (+7.9%) also beats the market but is relegated to third place. Mazda (+30.9%) and Nissan (+24.2%) post the largest gains in a Top 10 where all remaining brands are in negative, with Renault (-33%) and Mitsubishi (-18.8%) hit the hardest. Further down, Cadillac (+928.7%), GAC (+500%), Ford (+212.9%), Opel (+201.7%) and Porsche (+120%) make themselves noticed with surreal gains. After Seres in January, this month we welcome another Chinese EV brand: Aiways landing at #47 with 2 units sold.
