Georgia Q2 2020: Hyundai Ioniq edges past Toyota RAV4, Mitsubishi L200 shines

The Hyundai Ioniq is the best-selling vehicle in Georgia so far in 2020.

869 new cars found a buyer in Georgia over the Second Quarter of 2020, that’s 11% up on Q1 and leading to a 1.652 First Half volume. Toyota retains the brands top spot at 25% share but feels the heat from Hyundai at 18.6%, up 12 spots on Q1 to #2 and Mitsubishi at 14.4% up 9 ranks to #3. Lexus is up 6 to #4 at 6%, distancing Renault, Mercedes, Ford and Land Rover. Volvo climbs 11 spots to #10, Chinese carmaker FAW lands directly at #15 with 1.3% share, outselling Changan (#19) and JAC (#31).

The Mitsubishi L200 ranks #2 in Georgia over Q2 2020.

In the models ranking, the Hyundai Ioniq soars to #1 over both Q2 with 16.8% share and H1 with 8.8% share, toppling the Toyota RAV4 year-to-date for just 5 units. The Mitsubishi L200 is up 13 spots on Q1 to end Q2 in 2nd place with 13.3% share, followed by three Toyotas: the Prado (7.9%), RAV4 (4.5%) and Camry (4%). The Renault Sandero is up 22 ranks to #6, the Ford Ranger up 7 to #9 and the Lexus NX up 52 to #10.
