Estonia April 2020: Toyota (-50.7%), Renault (-51.3%), Mercedes (-15.8%) hold in market down -67.8%

The Toyota RAV4 remains the most popular vehicle in Estonia.

Under national COVID-19 lockdown all month, new car sales in Estonia logically fall -67.8% year-on-year in April to 832 registrations, leading to a year-to-date tally down -27.3% to 6.610. Toyota (-50.7%) resists markedly better than the market to reach a mammoth 25.5% share vs. 20.5% so far in 2020. Skoda (-70.9%) and Renault (-51.3%) complete the podium as they do YTD. Mercedes (-15.8%) is the standout brand in the Top 10, scoring by far the best hold with BMW (-45.9%) and Kia (-61.2%) below the market rate and Volkswagen (-67%) matching it but Peugeot (-84.4%), Dacia (-78.6%) and Citroen (-73.4%) struggling. Porsche (-27.8%) is the only additional brand truly resisting better than the market further down the ranking. The Toyota RAV4 (-46.6%), Corolla (-36.8%) and Renault Clio (-32.1%) hold onto their March rankings with strong holds, while the Citroen Berlingo (-54.5%) is up 4 spots to #4, the Kia Ceed (-54.8%) up 11 to #7 and the Renault Kadjar (-34.6%) up 33 to #10. The Skoda Kamiq (#16) tops recent launches.
