The new gen D-Max is helping Isuzu reach new heights in Thailand.
New vehicle sales in Thailand fall harshly again in February at -17.1% year-on-year to 68.271 units, leading to a year-to-date tally down -12.7% at 139.959. Market leader Toyota (-27.2%) is hit particularly hard with the worst drop in the Top 5 but easily remains in pole position with 27.2% share. Isuzu (-2.1%) shows impressive resilience in 2nd place and 21.2% share – its highest and first time above 20% since September 2017 (21.6%), while Honda (+0.7%) posts the only year-on-year gain in the Top 7. If Mitsubishi (-15.6%) manages to lose slightly less ground than the market in 4th place, Mazda (-42.3%), Ford (-37.8%) and Nissan (-19.8%) all implode. MG (+6.4%) and Suzuki (+5.5%) are the heroes of the Top 10.
