It’s a second consecutive year of double-digit gains for new vehicle sales in Kazakhstan, up a formidable 23.2% in 2019 to 75.093 after surging 24.2% in 2018. Lada (+14.6%) trails the market and saves its brands leadership from an aggressive assault by Hyundai (+70.4%), the Korea carmaker topping the monthly charts in June for the first time in history then again in September and never letting go since, lifting its monthly share record to 22% in November. All the momentum is with Hyundai to top the annual Kazakh charts in 2020. Toyota (+15.6%) gets knocked down to #3, with Ravon (+111.4%), UAZ (+33.2%), Kia (+31.3%) and Renault (+28.3%) also outpacing the market inside the Top 10.

Over in the models ranking, the Toyota Camry (+34.6%) secures a 4th consecutive annual win, distancing the Lada Granta (+46.9%) and Hyundai Tucson (+73.8%) which means that the podium is 100% outpacing the Kazakh market this year. The valiant Lada 4×4 (+7.9%), now over 40 years old, drops 2 spots to #4 while the Lada Vesta (+26.4%) drops one to round out the Top 5. The Ravon Nexia R3 (+187.1%), Hyundai Accent (+67.3%), Creta (+63%) and Elantra (+33%) all grow much faster than the market in the remainder of the Top 10. The Renault Arkana (#56) is the most popular 2019 launch in Kazakhstan.
