Israel January 2020: Toyota (+50%) can’t topple Hyundai (-2.8%) from top spot in strong market (+8.4%)

The Israeli market is off to a strong start in 2020 with January registrations up 8.4% year-on-year to 41.712 units. Hyundai (-2.8%) easily tops the charts with 16.1% share vs. 12.5% for Toyota (+50%) in outstanding shape. Kia (-3.9%), Skoda (+0.4%), Mitsubishi (+5.5%) and Mazda (+6.9%) follow but all underperform vs. the market. Chevrolet (+139.8%) surges 13 spots on December and 6 on FY2019 to land at #7 while Seat (+69.9%) is up to #8. Further down, notice Porsche (+133.3%), Jaguar (+92.3%), MG (+62%), Isuzu (+48.8%), Audi (+55.8%), Land Rover (+37.5%), Volkswagen (+36.3%), Volvo (+23.5%), Mercedes (+22.2%) and DS (+21.7%) all posting fantastic gains.
