Greece January 2020: Toyota (+28.4%), Volkswagen (+59.3%), Hyundai i10 (+70.8%) stun in market up 6.2%

The new model lifts Hyundai i10 sales up 70.8%.

Unlike the majority of European Union markets this month, Greece is up year-on-year in January at +6.2% to 9.785 registrations. In pole position, Toyota (+28.4%) soars to 15.1% share, a lot better than the 11% it commanded over the FY2019 while Peugeot (+3.3%) rallies back up 6 spots on December to return to the 2nd place it held last year. Volkswagen (+59.3%) and Hyundai (+6.8%) ensure the Top 4 is identical to that of FY2019. Kia (+59.5%) and Nissan (+25.5%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10 just as Opel (-43%) implodes. Further down, notice Lexus (+350%), Seat (+105.9%), Land Rover (+81.3%), BMW (+70.7%), Mitsubishi (+41.5%), Volvo (+40.4%), Jaguar (+40%) and Mini (+30.6%) all posting spectacular year-on-year gains. Model-wise, the Toyota Yaris (+17.9%) is faithful to the top spot, distancing the Nissan Qashqai (+41.1%), Hyundai i10 (+70.8%), Peugeot 208 (+18%) and Toyota Aygo (+23.6%) all scoring fantastic upticks. The VW T-Roc (+78.9%) also impresses at #7 while the VW T-Cross is up 19 spots on December to #9, a new Greek ranking record.
