Hungary November 2019: Ford Kuga up to #2, Dacia Lodgy up to #4 in market up 25%

The Lodgy helps Dacia up to #3 in the Hungarian October brands ranking.

New car sales in Hungary shoot up 25% year-on-year in November to 14.215 registrations, lifting the year-to-date tally up 11.7% to 141.769. Ford (+67.2%) manages a second consecutive month as the most popular carmaker in the country with 12.9% share vs. 9.6% so far this year, distancing traditional market leader and local producer Suzuki (+4.4%) which is slowly recovering from abusing self-registrations earlier in the year, up two spots on October to #2 and easily retaining the YTD pole position at 16.3% share. Dacia (+43.4%) leaps up 4 spots on last month to land on the third step of the podium at 9.3% share vs. 6.4% YTD, toppling Skoda (+55.3%), Volkswagen (+31.1%), Toyota (+18.7%) and Kia (+76.6%). Renault (+42.4%) also shines at #9 while Mercedes breaks into the Top 10 at #10. Model-wise, the Suzuki Vitara (+5.1%) reclaims the top spot for the first time since August ahead of the Ford Kuga (+208%) up 5 spots YTD to #5, the Skoda Octavia (+58%) and the Dacia Lodgy up to a record 4th place. The Ford Tourneo Custom (#7), Toyota Corolla (#9) and Renault Captur (#10) also impress.
