Bosnia & Herzegovina October 2019: Skoda Octavia leaps to 16% share

The next generation Skoda Octavia (pictured) is coming soon to Bosnia.

According to our partner CE Auto, the Bosnian new car market gains 5.4% year-on-year in October to 961 units, leading to a year-to-date tally now down just -0.2% to 9.319. The Skoda Octavia (+120%) is going from strength to strength, soaring to a out-of-this-world (and record for the nameplate) 16% market share this month, more than double its YTD level of 7.9%. This is potentially due to discounted prices for the outgoing generation. The Skoda Fabia (-5.6%) remains in the 2nd spot it holds YTD despite a fall, distancing the Opel Astra (+15.4%) back into the Bosnian Top 10 for the first time since last February. The Hyundai Tucson (+108.3%), VW Golf (+8.7%) and Renault Clio (+108.3%) all rank equal #4 while Peugeot manages to place both the 308 (#8) and 208 (#9) inside the October Top 10.
