Croatia July 2019: Opel Crossland X up to record #5, VW T-Cross in Top 20 for the first time

The VW T-Cross breaks into the Croatian Top 20 for the first time.

New car sales in Croatia soar 8.3% year-on-year in July to 6.212 units, tilting back the year-to-date volume into positive territory at +0.9% to 44.368. Volkswagen (-25.8%) is hit full frontal but reclaims the monthly top spot off last month’s leader Opel (+98.9%) itself managing the largest year-on-year gain in the Top 12. Skoda (+56.7%) is also in outstanding form at #2, as are Renault (+42.9%), Seat (+41.6%) ad Peugeot (+14.9%) in the remainder of the Top 10 and Land Rover (+257.1%), BMW (+127.3%), Volvo (+112.5%), Mitsubishi (+56.3%), Porsche (+55.6%), Mini (+54.5%) and Mercedes (+49.4%) further down.

Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia (+66.7%) cements its domination with a beautiful uptick to 7.4% share, almost double its direct follower the Opel Corsa (+135.3%) up to #4 YTD. The VW Golf (-22.1%) rounds up the podium ahead of the Suzuki Vitara (+6%) while the Opel Crossland X (+337%) breaks into the Croatian Top 5 for the very first time after ranking inside the Top 8 for the past 2 months. The Opel Astra (+137.3%), Dacia Duster (+104.7%), VW Passat (+58.1%) and Dacia Sandero (+53.2%) also shine in the Top 20 in which the VW T-Cross breaks for the first time at #17, only 25 sales below the VW Polo.
