Croatia June 2019: Opel leads, Dacia (+73.2%), Hyundai (+53.4%), Citroen (+27%) shine

The Citroen C3 is up to #3 in Croatia in June.

The Croatian new car market skids down -4% year-on-year in June to 8.235 units, tilting the year-to-date tally into negative at -0.2% to 38.156. Opel (+6.3%) valiantly takes the lead of the brands ranking for the first time since March 2018 with 11.3% share vs. 10% so far in 2019, displacing Volkswagen (-44.2%) in absolute freefall after a June 2018 score artificially boosted but pre-WLTP stock clearances. Skoda (-8.6%) is up 3 spots on May to #3 ahead of Peugeot (+6.7%) and Hyundai (+53.4%) up 5 ranks to #5. The most dynamic Top 15 carmaker is Dacia (+73.2%) at #6, with Seat (+30%), Toyota (+28.8%), Citroen (+27%), Suzuki (+16.4%) and BMW (+15.6%) also impressive. Further down, Land Rover (+169.2%) and Mitsubishi (+105.7%) both post spectacular gains.

In the models ranking, the Skoda Octavia (+5.7%) reclaims the top spot both for the month and year-to-date, with the Fiat 500 (+41.3%), Citroen C3 (+44%) and Suzuki Vitara (+80.5%) in tow, the Fiat 500 signing a 2nd consecutive month in 2nd place. The Hyundai i20 (+133.6%) shoots up to #7, the Opel Crossland X (+453.7%) manages a 2nd straight Top 10 finish, with the Ford Focus (+170.4%), Dacia Sandero (+104.6%), Nissan Qashqai (+73%) and Dacia Duster (+40.7%) also in excellent shape.
