UK nations April 2019: Vauxhall Grandland X up to #2 in Scotland, first Top 10 for the Citroen C3 Aircross

The Vauxhall Grandland X hits a record 2nd place in Scotland in April.

Thanks to our partnership with SMMT we can share with you the Top 10 best-sellers for all UK nations in March. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation, all sales figures are included in the April UK update. This month Northern Ireland (+3.9%) posts the largest gain to 4.060 registrations, with Scotland (+0.74%) the only other nation in positive at 12.562. England (-4.3%) is logically closest to the overall UK evolution (-4%) at 138.605 while Wales (-10.4%) has the most painful fall to 5.379 units. Year-to-date, all UK nations are in negative with Northern Ireland (-1.8%) faring the best ahead of England (-2.7%), Scotland (-2.7%) and Wales (-3.4%). 

The Ford Fiesta is the best-selling nameplate in 3 out of 4 nations in April: England, Wales and Scotland where it also reclaims the #1 YTD spot off the Vauxhall Corsa. The Ford Kuga tops the Northern Irish charts and snaps the #3 spot in Wales, the Ford Focus is #2 in England and Wales and #3 Scotland and the Hyundai Tucson is #2 in Northern Ireland. The performance of the month is delivered by the Vauxhall Grandland X up to a record #2 Scotland which is only its 2nd Top 10 finish there after June 2018 (#6). The VW Golf is #3 England and now #1 YTD in Northern Ireland above the Fiesta and the Citroen C3 is #3 Northern Ireland. The Citroen C3 Aircross scoring its first Top 10 finish of any UK nation at #8 in Northern Ireland.
