Martinique (France) Full Year 2018: Citroen (+14.9%), Dacia (+13.9%) impress in market up 5.8%

Citroen posts the largest gain in the Martinique Top 6 in 2018.

New car sales in Martinique, a French overseas island located in the Caribbean Sea home to 380,000 inhabitants, gain 5.8% year-on-year in 2018 to 15.700 units (our 2017 article featured sales including light commercials). Peugeot (+10.8%) frankly outpace the market to cement its brand leadership at 16.6% share ahead of Renault (+2.6%) at 13%. Dacia (+13.9%) improves further to 11% share, but Citroen (+14.9%) is catching up at 9.7%. Kia (-1.5%) remains at an excellent 5th place despite posting the only year-on-year drop in the Top 8. Seat (+53%), Ford (+50.5%), Nissan (+31.2%), DS (+25%) and Fiat (+14.6%) shine further down.
