Liechtenstein Full Year 2018: VW Golf back to #1, Ford Kuga strong, VW T-Roc lands in Top 10

The Liechtenstein new car market drops by a stiff 8.6% year-on-year in 2018 to just 1.849 registrations. Brand leader Volkswagen (-14.9%) falls even faster but remains on top at 12% share vs. 10.6% for #2 Audi (-8.4%) with BMW (-6.3%) and Mercedes (-5%) both improving their footprint and camping on their 2017 positions at #3 and #4 respectively. Ford (+36.7%), Land Rover (+25%) and Renault (+5.2%) all swim upstream in the remainder of the Top 10 whereas Seat (-23.5%), Toyota (-23.3%) and Skoda (-16%) sink. Further down, Volvo (92.9%) is up 10 spots to #11, with Lamborghini (+133.3%), Ssangyong (+58.3%), Jeep (+54.2%), Mini (+32.3%), Mazda (+28.1%), Mitsubishi (+18.2%) and Jaguar (+14.3%) also lodging excellent results. Over in the models ranking, the VW Golf (+7.8%) reclaims the top spot off the VW Tiguan (-31.9%) while the Audi A3 (32.3%) leaps up 8 spots to land on the last step of the podium, distancing the Audi A4 (+2.8%) and Ford Kuga (+48%). The VW T-Roc lands directly at #8 for its very first appearance in the Liechtenstein charts, while the BMW 5 Series (+18.5%) and X3 (+93.8%) both crack the 2018 Top 10.
