Kazakhstan January 2019: Lada and Toyota Camry camp on top spots in market shooting up 36.3%

Sales of Toyota Camry are up 176.5% year-on-year in January in Kazakhstan.

Outstanding start of the year for new vehicle sales in Kazakhstan at +36.3% to 4.436 registrations. Lada (+28.2%) trails the market slightly but remains on top of the brands ranking at 22.9% share vs. 21.8% for Toyota (+42.6%). The next 4 carmakers all spectacularly more than double their sales vs. January 2018: Renault (+400%) being the most impressive ahead of Hyundai (+235.9%), Volkswagen (+219%) and Kia (+153.4%). Only Lexus (+71.4%) manages to outpace the market in the remainder of the Top 10 with GAZ (-11%) the only brand in decline. Land Rover (+228.6%), Mazda (+186.5%), Skoda (+161.1%) and Chevrolet (+53.2%) also impress further down. We welcome Dongfeng at #18. Model-wise, the Toyota Camry shoots up 176.5% year-on-year to hold onto the top spot as it has been the case over the past 3 years, leaving the Lada Granta (+87.5%), Hyundai Tucson (+406.5%) and Lada Vesta (+139.6%) in its wake. The Kia Rio (+1172.7%), Hyundai Elantra (+503.1%) and VW Polo (+482.1%) also record impossible gains in the Top 10.
