Israel February 2019: Hyundai (+22.7%) sails off in market down 6.7%

The market is down another 6.7% to 24.520 units, leading to a year-to-date volume down 3.5% to 62.995. Hyundai (+22.7%) confirms it has started 2019 in spectacular fashion and commands 18.2% of Israeli sales in February vs. just 12.4% for #2-ranked Toyoa (-18.3%) ahead of Kia (-26.2%). In fact, the remainder of the Top 10 bar Mitsubishi (+5.4%) is entirely in negative, with Suzuki (-24.6%) hit the hardest and Nissan (-1.4%) and Chevrolet (-1.6%) resisting best. Below, DS (+50%), Land Rover (+45.5%), Mercedes (+44.4%), Volvo (+40%), Alfa Romeo (+37%), Jeep (+34.7%), Dacia (+11.1%) and Seat (+10.7%) stand out but Porsche (-82.4%), Infiniti (-59.6%), BMW (-47.9%), Cadillac (-58.5%), Volkswagen (-36.1%), Lexus (-35%) and Audi (-26.3%) struggle.
