Greece January 2019: Opel Corsa and Peugeot 308 impress in market up 3.7%

Sales of Peugeot 308 in Greece are up 12-fold year-on-year in January.

Solid start of the year for Greek new car sales at +3.7% to 9.210 units. Brand leader Toyota (-5.4%) isn’t surfing on the positive wave but remains in the lead at 12.5%, even though Peugeot (+10.6%), Opel (+10.3%) and most strikingly Hyundai (+39.2%) are catching up fast. The Toyota Yaris (-10.9%), leader in Greece for the past 6 consecutive years, remains in the lead despite a steep fall, outpacing the Opel Corsa (+57.9%) up 8 spots on December to #2, the Nissan Qashqai (-6.5%) and Peugeot 208 (-34.2%). The VW Polo (+40.5%) is up 6 ranks on last month to #5, the Citroen C3 (+46.3%) down 3 to #6 and the Peugeot 308 (up 12-fold) up 42 to #7.
