London (UK) Full Year 2018: Ford Fiesta back in charge, Mercedes GLC in Top 10

The Mercedes GLC is among the 10 favourite cars in London in 2018.

Sales data at city-level is extremely rare but our partnership with SMMT enables us to share with you 2018 registrations figures for Greater London, a market down 6.3% year-on-year to 87.491 units, faring slightly better than the UK as a whole (-6.8%). Unsettled by the VW Golf in 2017, the Ford Fiesta (-1.8%) reclaims the title of best-selling vehicle in London this year, improving its market share to 3% and knocking the Golf (-14.2%) to #2. The Mini (-4.9%) gains two spots to climb onto the Londoner podium, the Mercedes A-Class (+20.5%) soars 5 spots to #4 thanks to the new model, the Toyota Yaris (+7.2%) is up three ranks to #7 and the Mercedes GLC brilliantly replaces the C-Class inside the Top 10. Note the Porsche Macan ranked #10 in December.
