Kazakhstan October 2018: Toyota Camry leads, Hyundai and Kia strong

The Toyota Camry remains the best-selling vehicle in Kazakhstan.

New vehicle sales in Kazakhstan are up a strong 15.3% year-on-year in October to 5.815 units, meaning the year-to-date volume is now up 26.6% at 49.512. The brands podium remains identical to the YTD order but Lada (+6%) posts a significantly lower share than it holds so far this year at 19.8% vs. 21.8%, the same goes for Toyota (+33%) at 17.9% vs. 20.7% but Hyundai (+76%) is well above at 15.5% vs. 13.3%. Combined, these 3 carmakers account for over half of the Kazakh market at 53.2% share. Skoda (+200%), Kia (+95%), Lexus (+65%), Nissan (+35%) and Renault (+25%) also post spectacular gains inside the Top 10. Model-wise, the Toyota Camry (+78%) enjoys the benefits of a new generation to cement its domination at 7.4% share, distancing the Lada 4×4 (-25%), Vesta (+124%) and Hyundai Elantra (+238%). The Toyota Prado (+209%), Hyundai Tucson (+90%) and Hyundai Accent (+44%) also impress inside the Top 10, with the Skoda Octavia (+455%), Kia Rio (+277%) and Sorento (+126%) also posting extravagant gains further down. The Renault Dokker (#47), Toyota C-HR (#57) and Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (#65) top recent launches (<12 months).
