UK nations June 2018: Vauxhall Grandland X & Citroen C4 Cactus nab 1st Top 10

Thanks to our partnership with SMMT we can share with you the Top 10 best-sellers for all UK nations in June. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation, all sales figures are already included in the June 2018 UK update. Wales (+2.5%) is the only nation in positive in June at 7.334 sales with England (-3.3%) resisting best at 203.976, Northern Ireland (-3.8%) weak at 5.501 and Scotland (-7%) freefalling at 17.576. Halfway through 2018, Northern Ireland (-3.5%) behaves best at 30.992 registrations, followed by Wales (-4.6%) at 43.401, England (-6%) at 1.134.603 and Scotland (-9%) at 101.873.
Up from just two wins in May, the Ford Fiesta is the best-seller in 3 nations in June: England, Northern Ireland and Wales but must abdicates the throne once again in Scotland to the Vauxhall Corsa whose only other podium finish is a 2nd place in Wales. Other podium finishers in June are the VW Polo #2 in Scotland and #3 in Northern Ireland, the VW Golf #2 in England, the Hyundai Tucson #2 in Northern Ireland, the Mini #3 in England (vs. #4 in the UK overall) and the Ford Focus only able to snap a third place in Wales whereas it topped two nations last month.
Other great performers include the Renault Clio up to #4 in Scotland – its highest ranking there since last September (#3) – , the Vauxhall Grandland X scoring its first ever Top 10 in any UK nation in Scotland (#6) all the while the Crossland X ranks #8 YTD there and the Mokka X #9 YTD, the Citroen C4 Cactus snapping its first Top 10 in Northern Ireland (#6), the VW Tiguan breaking into the England Top 10 for the first time at #10 vs. #9 in the UK overall but also ranking #9 in Northern Ireland where it’s more of a habit as it ranks #9 YTD there as well and the BMW 3 Series accompanying its #7 England and UK ranking with #10 spot in Scotland, its first Top 10 appearance there in almost 5 years, since September 2013.
