Croatia April 2018: Renault (+48%) and Clio (+52%) leap to top spots

The Renault Clio is by far the best-selling vehicle in Croatia in April.

According to data released by our new partner Promocija Plus, in April the Croatian new car market posts a fourth double-digit year-on-year gain in a row this year at +12.2% to 7.046 registrations, leading to a YTD total up 21.7% to 20.885 units. Renault takes the lead of the brands ranking thanks to deliveries soaring 48% year-on0-year to 12.7% share, with Opel (-1%) and Volkswagen (-10%) in tow and separated by only 6 sales. Skoda (-2%) follows ahead of Peugeot (+170%), Toyota (+180%), Suzuki (+67%), Hyundai (+29%) and Dacia (+42%) all frankly outpacing the market. Further down, Mitsubishi (+571%), Jeep (+192%), Subaru (+175%), Mini (+153%), Seat (+95%), Kia (+74%) and Honda (+73%) all post spectacular gains. Model-wise, the Renault Clio (+52%) is the undisputed best-seller this month at 9.1% share vs. 4.9% for the Opel Corsa (-7%) at #2. The Skoda Octavia (+17%) is stuck at #3 but remains #1 YTD above the Clio. The Dacia Duster finally benefits from the new generation with sales up 3-fold year-on-year to #4 overall, ahead of the VW Polo (+3%) and Toyota Yaris (+244%). Notice also the Nissan Qashqai (+732%), Peugeot 208 (+454%), Suzuki SX4 S-Cross (+181%) and Citroen C3 (+74%) making themselves noticed in the Top 20, while the Opel Mokka signs its very first Top 20 finish in Croatia at #18.
