Kazakhstan March 2018: Lada 4×4 cements newfound leadership

The Kazakh new car market brilliantly confirms it is on the mend this month with a 52% year-on-year surge to 4.265 registrations leading to a Q1 volume up 44.9% to 11.760 units. Lada cements its newfound reclaimed leadership with deliveries almost doubling year-on-year to 22.3% share, comfortably distancing Toyota up 13% to 17.1% and Hyundai up 227% to 12.6%. Both Ravon (+97%) and GAZ (+98%) also frankly outpace the market inside the Top 5 while below, JAC (+325%), Subaru (+300%), Mazda (+229%), Land Rover (+160%), Mitsubishi (+143%) and Kamaz (+129%) stand out. Model-wise, the valiant Lada 4×4 remains the most popular vehicle in the country thanks to deliveries shooting up 89% year-on-year to 6.7% share, leading to a YTD tally up 16% to 6.8%. The Toyota Camry follows but drops 1% ahead of the Ravon Nexia R3 (+57%), Lada Granta (+151%) and GAZ Gazelle (+99%). Notice also the Lada Vesta (+238%), Hyundai Tucson (+160%) and Toyota Corolla (+100%) sparkling inside the Top 10.
