This is our second update on Georgia, a market exclusive to BSCB. 768 new light vehicles found a buyer in the country over the First Quarter of 2018, and Toyota remains ultra-dominant at 44.1% share, improving on an already mammoth 39.8% over the Full Year 2017. Ford snaps the 2nd spot with 13.5% share, more than double the 6.3% it commended in 2017 and more than enough to knock Hyundai (7.6%) down to 3rd place. Mercedes (6.3%) is stable at #4 ahead of Fiat (4.7%) up four spots, Kia (3.1%) up 7 ranks and Land Rover (2.9%) up four.

The Toyota C-HR ranks #2 so far in 2018 in Georgia.

Over in the models ranking, surprisingly it’s not a Toyota in the lead: in what is likely a fleet-driven freak event, the Ford Tourneo Courier snaps the pole position whereas it sold zero units in 2017 – but it is followed by no less than seven Toyota nameplates! The C-HR and Prado tie for 2nd place, just one lonely unit ahead of the Corolla and RAV4 and two above the Land Cruiser 200 (leader in 2017), with the Camry and Prius significantly distanced. The Fiat Ducato and Hyundai Tucson round up the Top 10, while the Range Rover Velar leads newcomer at a splendid 17th place.
