The Danish new car market retracts 2% year-on-year in February to 17.280 units, but the year-to-date volume remains in positive, albeit by just 0.1% or 39 sales at 37.195, an all-time record after two months. Volkswagen (+2%) and Peugeot (-4%) remain distant leaders with 13.8% and 12.1% share respectively, but it’s Citroen at #3 (+40%) and Ford at #4 (+46%) that shine in the Top 10 where the remainder 6 brands all lose ground year-on-year. Further down, Jaguar (+120%), Subaru (+113%), Volvo (+61%), Audi (+48%), Mercedes (+25%), BMW (+14%) are among the most dynamic. Over in the models ranking, the Peugeot 208 reigns supreme at 6% share (+7%) ahead of the Nissan Qashqai at 3.8% (-6%) while the VW Golf soars 89% to #3. The Citroen C3 (+43%) and Skoda Octavia (+60%) also impress while outside the Top 10 the Citroen C4 Picasso (+200%), Mercedes C Class (+81%), Opel Insignia (+459%) and Peugeot 5008 (+4250%) all post spectacular gains. The VW T-Roc is up 26 spots to break into the Danish Top 20 for the first time at #18, leading all recent launches (<12 months) above the Hyundai Kona (#30, +50 on January), Opel Crossland X (#45) and Kia Stonic (#66).
