Turkish light vehicle sales suffer from a particularly high comparison base in November, down 17.5% year-on-year but up 19.2% on November 2015 to 100.859 units. Year-to-date sales are now down 2.6% to 819.954 including light commercials (196.889). Market leader Renault goes agains the grain with a 10% gain to 13.9% share, further cementing its YTD domination at 13.6% (+11%) vs. 12.3% (-13%) for Volkswagen, down another 10% in November to 12.8% share. Ford (+2%) and Fiat (-9%) follow closely. Only Peugeot, up a very robust 13%, is in positive in the Top 10, with Nissan (-6%), Hyundai (-11%), Dacia (-13%), Opel (-15%) and most strikingly Toyota (-49%) all in decline. Further down, only Mini (+1%), Iveco (+3%), Karsan (+8%), Maserati (+21%), Subaru (+30%), Volvo (+41%) and Lamborghini (+100%) manage an uplift, with Ssangyong (-45%), Seat (-46%), BMW (-48%), Porsche (-49%), Alfa Romeo (-51%), Kia (-54%), Mercedes (-55%), Infiniti (-58%), Citroen (-65%) and Jaguar (-72%) the hardest hit.

Model-wise, the Renault Megane triumphs, snapping the Turkish pole position for the first time since February thanks to deliveries up 44% to 5.1% share, 90% of its November sales coming from the sedan variant. As a reminder, before it was split into Megane hatch and Fluence, the Renault Megane topped the annual Turkish sales charts from 2004 to 2006. The Ford Courier is up 6% to hold the 2nd place overall vs. #4 YTD, outselling the YTD leader the Fiat Egea down 7% to 4.3% share in third place vs. 5% so far this year. The VW Passat (+20%), Fiat Fiorino (+29%) and Renault Symbol (+37%) are the other strong performing nameplates near the top. Below, the Peugeot 301 (+109%), Hyundai Accent Blue (+49%), Peugeot Partner (+86%), Ford Kuga (+311%) and Ford Ranger (+61%) make themselves noticed while the Opel Grandland X lands at #88 and directly best performing recent launch above the Opel Crossland X (#89) and Skoda Kodiaq (#96).
