South Korea November 2017: Discover the top foreign brands/models (BSCB Exclusive)

The BMW 5 Series is the best-selling foreign nameplate in South Korea this month.

Foreign brands and models data is back on BSCB, with aggregate sales in South Korea down 1% year-on-year to 162.608 for the month of November. BMW is up 28% on November 2016 to distance Mercedes at 4.2% vs. 3.9% share, while Genesis plays with the top German premium brands (its original objective) for the first time at 3.9% share only 9 sales below Mercedes. Toyota climbs 55% to #9, Land Rover is up 36% to #11, Honda up 62% to #12, Jeep up 27% to #13, Volvo up 443% to #15, Infiniti up 32% to #21 and Cadillac up 67% to #22. Model-wise, the BMW 5 Series reigns supreme with deliveries up 71% to over 4.000 units, followed by the Mercedes E-Class (-14%) and BMW 3 Series (-2%). The Toyota Camry jumps 150% to #4 thanks to the new generation, distancing the Mercedes S-Class (+73%) and Mercedes GLC (+195%). The Mercedes GLA (+324%) also impresses in the Top 10 but the Lexus ES (-12%) and Mercedes C-Class (-35%) struggle. Further down, notice the Mercedes CLA (+206%), BMW X5 (+157%), Honda Odyssey (+483%), BMW X6 (+228%) and Volvo V90 (+270%) all posting spectacular gains. The Range Rover Velar leads recent launches at #28 ahead of the Mercedes GLS (#50), Peugeot 5008 (#62) and Volvo V90 (#75).

Mercedes GLC sales are up 3-fold on November 2016 in South Korea.
