Slovakia October 2017: VW Golf jumps 156% to 2nd place

The VW Golf signs an excellent 2nd place overall in Slovakia in October.

New car sales in Slovakia are up 12.4% year-on-year in October to 8.446 registrations, lifting the year-to-date tally up 10.3% to 79.781. The Skoda Octavia cements its recently reclaimed YTD leadership with sales up 23% to 5.8% share in October, but the performance of the month is without a doubt delivered by the VW Golf, up a whopping 156% to 5.3% and slipping in between the dominant Skodas in 2nd place above the Fabia (-18%) and Rapid (-17%). This earns the Golf a 5th place YTD vs. #7 last month and #2 foreigner below the Kia Cee’d, down 36% in October.
