After an almost one year-hiatus, Croatia is finally back on BSCB thanks to a new partnership with local outlet Promocija Plus. New car sales in the country are up a whopping 25.4% year-on-year in October to 3.623 units, leading to a year-to-date tally up 19.4% to 45.128 registrations. Volkswagen remains the most popular carmaker in Croatia but advances slower than the market at +3% to 12.5% share, whereas #2 Renault soars 76% to 10.3%. Skoda on the other hand is down 2% to 9.3% in third place. Below, Ford up a spectacular 200% on October 2016, Suzuki (+43%), Dacia (+111%), Kia (+101%) and Peugeot (+42%) all beat the market inside the Top 10. Over in the models ranking, the Ford Focus brilliantly takes the lead for the second time in 2017 after April thanks to deliveries up 5-fold on October 2016, followed by the Skoda Octavia (+102%), Dacia Duster (+397%) and Renault Clio (+81%) all up spectacularly as well. Inside the Top 10, notice also the VW Tiguan (+131%), Renault Megane (+346%) and Seat Ibiza (#9). The Suzuki SX4 S-Cross leaps up to #11.

The Suzuki Vitara was #1 in Croatia in January, February and August 2017.

Monthly 2017 data (January-September) is now available for All-brands and the Top 20 models YTD. Volkswagen was the best-selling carmaker for the first 8 months of the year, if only by just one unit to Renault in June, before being toppled by Skoda in September. Model-wise, the Suzuki Vitara brilliantly took the lead both in January and February and again in August, the Opel Astra was the best-seller in March and again in May, followed by the Ford Focus in April, the Skoda Octavia in June and again in September and the VW Golf in July. It is its regularity at the highest level that owes the Skoda Octavia its year-to-date leadership as it has only topped the Croatian sales charts twice this year, vs. three times for the Vitara.
