Pakistan October 2017: Suzuki Mehran best-seller, market up 46%

Sales of locally assembled light vehicles in Pakistan surge 46% year-on-year in October to 23.341 units, lifting the year-to-date volume up 18.3% to 199.397 sales. Suzuki outpaces the market with a stunning 53% rise to 58.8% share vs. 53.2% so far this year, Toyota lags behind at +28% to 21.9% and Honda shines at +50% to 19.3%. Big event atop the models ranking: for the first time since July 2014, the Suzuki Mehran snaps the pole position off the Toyota Corolla thanks to volumes up 41% to 18.7% share while the Corolla edges up 7% to 18.1%. Meanwhile the Suzuki WagonR shoots up 141%, the Honda BR-V posts its first four-digit sales month, the Toyota Hilux is up 1221% and the Fortunes up 1772%.
