Turkey September 2017: Fiat Egea & VW Passat top market up 5.6%

New light vehicle sales in Turkey are up 5.6% to 71.352 units including light commercials, but the year-to-date tally remains in negative at -1.4% to 627.343 sales. Despite seeing its deliveries slide down 1% year-on-year, Volkswagen jumps to pole position this month with 14.3% share, distancing Fiat up 38% to 13.6% and Renault up 41% to 12.8%. Ford is stable at 10.5% in 4th place above Hyundai (+6%) and all other carmakers in the Top 10 are in negative: Dacia (-7%), Toyota (-6%), Mercedes (-8%), Opel (-11%) and Peugeot (-9%). Just outside the Top 10, Skoda (+26%) and Honda (+66%) make themselves noticed. Further down, Subaru (+17%), Jeep (+41%), Iveco (+42%), Volvo (+59%) and Lexus (+425%) are among the most dynamic. The Top 5 best-selling models all display explosive growth: the Fiat Egea (+32%) remains the favourite nameplate in the country ahead of the VW Passat (+40%), Renault Clio (+48%), Fiat Fiorino (+63%) and Renault Megane (+128%). Other great performers include the Renault Symbol (+33%), Honda Civic (+658%), Ford Focus (+29%) and Peugeot 3008 (+1711%). The Toyota C-HR (#40) leads recent launches (<12 months) above the Skoda Kodiaq (#78), Opel Crossland X (#106) and Audi Q2 (#107).
