Estonia First Half 2017: Skoda Octavia cements lead

The Skoda Octavia continues to dominate the Estonian sales charts.

The Estonian new car market jumps up 33.7% year-on-year in June to 2.666 registrations, leading to a First Half result 13.4% above the same period a year ago at 13.332 units. The Skoda Octavia cements its domination of the market by ranking #1 in June with 5.2% share vs. 5% YTD. The Toyota Avensis overtakes the Renault Clio for the 2nd spot YTD, benefiting from a particularly weak month from the French supermini (2.2% share). The VW Passat ranks #2 in June but remains in 5th place year-to-date below the Toyota RAV4. The Skoda Superb (#7) and Toyota Auris (#9) reappear inside the YTD Top 10.
